PADCON monitors more than 100 megawatts in Great Britain

Kitzingen: PADCON passed the mark of 100 MW of monitored plant output in Great Britain as of the end of the third quarter of 2014. PADCON initially equipped the first 5 MW power plant with its own SCADA components in September 2012 and the company has been the first choice for a number of PV plants since then.

PADCON GmbH carried on with its international expansion course in 2012 with the development of the British photovoltaic market. 24 months later PADCON CEO and co-founder Constantin Wenzlik is delighted with the fourth country in which PADCON PV output of more than 100 MV is monitored and controlled. Other 50 MW solutions with PADCON monitoring are already under construction and will be completed early next year.

All the plants in Great Britain constructed with PADCON SCADA components are also monitored in the PADCON Control Center. The Control Center enables PADCON to provide a comprehensive package of services in the area of O&M support and assist plant managers in their daily work. Currently the Control Center is used to monitor PV power plants with an output amounting to over 2 gigawatts in 19 countries on 5 continents.

Thomas Dorsch, Sales Manager of PADCON GmbH, stresses that the British market will also be one of the focus markets of the company beyond the first quarter of 2015. The aim is to increase our market share in the O&M sector and win over more customers with our company´s services and monitoring solutions. For example, the modular PADCON 3 level monitoring enables customers to standardise data and measured values from existing plants in a data warehouse and visualisation interface with different SCADA systems. "This solution is therefore ideal for the portfolios of large asset managers and asset owners", states Thomas Dorsch.
